"How are you feeling?*"

  • I'm still getting over this cold. I have a lingering cough/congestion that is just annoying at this point. My doc says Phil and baby should be in the clear and I'm not contagious now. Good news!

  • We have everything we "need" ready for the baby. The Pack n' Play is set up in our bedroom so we have a place for him to sleep and change him, and my sister-in-law Katie helped us install our car seat. I'm a little disappointed that the nursery won't be all ready since the bedding and changing table/dresser are both on back-order, but oh well.

  • Believe it or not, I actually still enjoy being pregnant and I'm not in any big hurry to get him out! I want to work up until May 15 and then have at least a few days to have some rest and get stuff done before he arrives. I'm really not all that uncomfortable (yet!) and my only complaint is my lower back pain. Sleeping is fine, only have to get up to go to the bathroom maybe once in the night.

  • I fortunately haven't had any more bleeding since March 17. I didn't have to do the Fetal Non-stess Test this time because they've all looked so good, his heartbeat is still great and he's still moving a lot (and the doctor's office was over-booked and short-staffed today). Sometimes I think I might be having a Braxton Hicks contraction, but I'm not really sure if it's just the baby changing positions.

  • As of my doctor appointment today, my cervix is already 1cm dialated, 80% effaced, and he's at -1 station (he's dropped, but not yet engaged in the pelvis), and his head is still down. Which all basically means my uterus is doing what it's supposed to (and those probably have been Braxton Hicks contractions), but labor could still be weeks away.

*Thought I'd save you from being the one-hundredth person to ask me that. ;)
